7 Rounds of

9 OHS, 12 pull ups, 15 push ups

Jedi workout

Workout: For Time ” Grumpy”

30 DU, 30 KBS, 30 pass throughs, 3 rope climbs

20 Cal row, 20 broad jumps, 20 back extensions, 2 rope climbs

10 pullups, 10 K2E, 10 burpees, 1 rope climb

once you work your way down to the last rope climb, start to climb back up until you finish where you started.

1 power clean, 1 front squat, 1 push press, 1 back squat, 1 push jerk

Go thorugh the sequence 7 times without setting the bar down, add weight until you find your max.

New Jets Fans

Congratulations to Dwight Lowery, Two-Time 1’st Team All-American from San Jose State, drafted by the NY Jets in the 2008 NFL Draft

Sometimes stats just don’t do justice, and Dwight has some impressive stats.  But watching him train with JDogg the last couple years, the thing that is most impressive is his work ethic.  He has been putting every effort into his training and it will certainly show at the next level.

Let’s Party

 Eva T.,  could walk into a CrossFit gym anywhere in the world and I guarantee form would get better instantly and the intensity would go up a few notches.  Come out and party with a true CrossFit Original.  Tomorrow night at ‘The Point Chop House and Lounge’ located at 3326 Portola Drive at 5pm, hang out with fellow CrossFit athletes from all over Santa Cruz County and beyond.

Birthday Mom

Come on, you did’nt really think she would ‘take it easy’ coming back,did you?  Happy Birthday Paige, we are all excited to have you back from your very short break from having a baby.  You really are an inspiration to all of us. 

Workout: part 1

6 x 6 of shoulder press, push press, push jerk ( .45 between each lift and add weight each round)

then…. as many rounds in 10 minutes of

100m sprint, 7 kb swings, 7 K2E ( M:70#, W:50#)

Birthday Boy?

I’m not going to say who had a birthday.  But this Santa Clara FireFighter not only took time off from work last weekend, but also paid money to run 25 miles in a relay for charity.  And then quietly snuck in a birthday,  whoever this mystery guy is, we are certainly glad that he is a part of the CrossFitNSC Family.

Sea Otter

Buck raced in the Sea Otter Classics this past weekend racing for his first year in the semi pro category….slalom course. He came in first place for the entire event and ripped it up! He’s been crossfitting with me almost a year and has become a strong mean lean machine. Bucks Fran time used to be 13 something and he just did it last month at a even 6 minutes….he’s got muscle ups, crazy kipping pullups and is just an all around amazing athlete who is going to tear it up at the games for sure!!!  Shari

Workout: Total Reps

5 rounds

20 seconds of thruster - rest for 30 seconds

20 seconds of deadlift - rest for 30 seconds

20 seconds of burpee - rest for 30 seconds

20 seconds of box jump - rest for 30 seconds

The NSC crew hanging around during Static Saturday,  speaking of hangin out and Saturdays.  Next Saturday 4/26 there will be a birthday party for CrossFit Superstar Eva T. at The Point Chop House and Lounge.  The festivities will kick off at 5pm, so you have plenty of time to work out in the morning.
